MC STUDIO members would like to make our official model, Wendy as commercial-like theme in this happy-hour season. So after all the hot-sweating strobist setup, we successfully turned Wendy into commercial. She’s gonna be in runway model soon! So enjoy guys!
A guy shall kept his promise especially when you confront your client or your most beloved ones. I promised my wife to bring her on a short trip vacation while capture every moment of her. You can see why i’m not in the picture LOL!. Promise is a promise since 2 weeks ago. She willing to change her working shift just to accompany me whole day and without any hesitation, I bring her to a historical area to have a best shot of her. So I’m still working it out now… So guys stay tune to my blog!

Omar and I were decided to shoot his friend whom just came back from Vietnam. Ms. Charis is kind of open minded girl and willing to shoot any post we want ( those decent post of course ). That make our job went lot easier haha.
So we went to one of the heritage areas to shoot her. We took special permission from a premise guard. The guard can’t decide and bring us to visit a sister ( owner of the premise ).
Guess what? I’ve got screwed LOL! That’s our local malaysian ways. Hey, I’m getting permission LEGALLY from you and that’s how we’ve been treated. A sister ( catholic-typed with aged 60 ) speak to me.
Here goes the hectic conversation.
Sister : ” I remember you…. You are the guy whom bring almost 17 ppl , entering our premise without permission and shoot as you like. This is rude. ”
Me : ” Errr…..I think you got the wrong person…? ” ( I was like WTF? )
Sister : ” No No..It’s you! This is a private property and entering without permission is rude. Thank god, the guard brings you to me. I saw you guys from the top floor last time ”
( I guess this happened during Photo Shooting with Louis )
She’s seems to be angry…her conversation continued…
Sister : ” What you want to do with our premise ”
Me : ” I would like to capture a model with your magnificent structure , do you mind us using your structure as the background? ”
Sister : ” What model? Why do you need to use our building? …. ”
Me : ” It’s just for our own profile and hobby. ”
After of LONG series of negotiation, finally she agreed for us to shoot. But, before we get ready our gadgets, she asked few question before rest her case.
Sister : ” Ok, you can have it to shoot. But remember , NO COMMERCIAL purpose. I do not want my home to be sold. ”
Me : ” Sure do! Strictly no commercial purpose! ”
Sister : ” Ok! By the way what’s your name? ”
Me : ” My name is Matthew ”
Sister : ” Surname? ”
Me : ” Chuah , Matthew Chuah. ”
Sister : ” What religion are you in? ”
Me : ” I’m christian , methodist. ”
Sister : ” Aren’t you suppose to be in the church? Today is Sunday. ”
Me : ” Yes, but the church was in the morning. ” ( I was sweating like hell… )
Sister : ” So when you finish the shooting? ”
Me : ” about an hour. from 5-6pm ”
Sister : ” Ok! You may have it for shooting. ”
Me : ” Thank You! ”
So guys, do you think is convenient to get some shots in a private premise? LOL! Think Twice when shoot in Penang.

What a nice , luxury , sweaty sunday! FIP ( Foto Imej Perak ) were organizing a BIKINI model photo shooting in Lost World of Tambun , Ipoh. You hear me! BIKINI-ies….
Not only 1 model but with almost 27 models from whole Malaysia. They were participating as models to earn the award of ” Miss Model of Malaysia 2009 “. Each photographers are entitled to pay RM10 for the entrance fees + Tags + Contest form. All BIKINI-ies model for only RM10. It does sound dirt-cheap , doesn’t it?
Sehu , Eric , Raymond , John , Neng , Beh and Lawrence were there for the shooting. Majority were Penangites in the arena. One of the FIP members announced the total of photographers in the arena. It was 380 photographers in total within the same arena. No wonder it was EXTREMELY packed. Hard time getting yourself a good position but I do enjoy. It’s nice to getting know with some senior professional photographers in Ipoh.
After all the sweaty shots, We went straight up to Cameron Highland to have lunch and tea together.

Went to gurney plaza with Sherren , Omar , Kalvin and Wendy for a shopping spree. Lotsa nice things to see. This is the most eye catching for me.

I was a La Sallian from Standard 1 till i finished school in form 5, that was 10 years of being a La Sallian! Labour Omnia Vinci!
I still remember those days, when our brother, Bro Paul Ho ( Last La-Salle Brother in Malaysia ), took over the SXI ( ST XAVIER INSTITUTION ), everything changed to be well disciplined and with system. This is not an easy task to take over a school furthermore this is a christianity school with more than 1000 pupils.
Bro Paul is not just a person in-charge of the school but he willing to give up his time to help those unfortunate students. He knew that they would have trouble getting job from the results of their academic, so he plan to open up a bakery course and guide them, lead the students for a better living. Not to mention, his cookies were awesome and in affordable price! I miss that ” YUMMY ” moment.
I heard that Bro Paul trying hard to get the funds and support from private sectors to get his students hired. This is the scene that you missed. Bro Paul is not a person whom ask for returns from his students. His kindness and passion makes him the greatest Brother of all.
Now, our local govt is going to take over our La-Salle school. Our last remaining brother, Bro Paul will leave the school soon. I was so sad about this issue. This is heritage and legacy of SXI. We came out from this school , being guided and each of us had our successful career. This is all because we had our tender care and love while showered with precious educational programme by SXI principal and teachers. Because of SXI, this is what we are today. We would be stranded somewhere and lost in direction without them. We must learn to appreciate and gratitude.
On 20th June 2009 ( last night ) , SXI had the 50 tables of farewell dinner with Bro Paul Ho at Traders Hotel, Penang. I’ve volunteer to cover some shots for my school. It’s only RM100 per ticket and you get to see your old buddies and teachers. I’m so happy to hug and shake hands with some of the pioneer teachers whom patiently guided me when I was superb noob! Ok, I admit I’m damn noob when I was ” YAIP ” ( Young And Innocent Period )
So happy to see them back. Unbelievable to see some nasty pupils coming back to the farewell dinner. I guess they are not that nasty after all. It was a surprise to see YB. Karpal Singh (A DAP mp bukit gelugor) during the dinner event. Just realized he was an ex xaverian too! ” XAVIERIAN RULES ” !
After dinner session, here comes my favourite part, ” LUCKY DRAW SESSION “. My friend, Mr. Eugene got his 2nd prize from stage. Congratulation!
After announcing the 2nd prize, here comes the 1st….tada tada…
Eventually, they read out my lucky number! Woooooooooohooo! Holy Cowboy!
1st prize = a 32″ PANASONIC LCD HDMI TV! Ok it’s worth 1k+ But that’s my first time ever got the 1st prize from a dinner. Our table was the last table of all ( ok thanks to Eugene again for getting all this for us ) but its worth after all.
Million thanks to Kennard Khoo for reminding me the dinner , I thought it was July 20 OMFG! Thanks to Mr Liang Kok Seng and Eugene for getting the ticket and inviting me to the dinner. Nice to meet you Edwin Lee and your pretty sister!
